This Weekend in Dublin
If you haven't made plans yet here's a few ideas for the weekend in Dublin.
For anyone with a free afternoon today, the RDS is giving a free tour to the public starting at 2.30pm, with afternoon tea available afterwards.
Tomorrow is National Drawing Day, organised by the National Gallery of Ireland. There is a free drawing session on in the morning for adults at the National Gallery, and an afternoon session for families and children. See a list of particpating venues both in Dublin and around the country.
It's the last chance to catch something at the Dublin Dance Festival which finishes this weekend. Venues include Peacock Theatre, Dancehouse, Project Upstairs and the Samuel Beckett Theatre.
At Grand Canal Theatre this weekend, Whistle Down the Wind finishes up on Saturday and The Priests are in concert on Sunday along with special guest Camilla Kerslake.
Sonia Maria is performing her songs in the company of cellist Rike Soeller at Bewleys Cafe Grafton Street on Saturday night, and on Sunday Cork band Boa Morte is playing at the same venue.
Ending next weekend, the current exhibition Earth at the Gallery of Photography in Temple Bar includes work by the twelve international photographers shortlisted for the 2009 Prix Pictet prize.
